Cheque Clearing Issue

Due to a delay in the processing of cheque lodgements made to accounts on 19th August, any cheques drawn on other banks will not be cleared and the funds will not be available for withdrawal until 21st August.
Any First Trust Bank cheques will clear on 20th August as normal.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note that First Trust Bank NEVER request any login or personal details via email. If you have received an email asking for your Online Banking / iBusiness Banking details please forward the email you received to and then immediately delete the email. DO NOT click on any links in the email.


This email address ( is a collection point for notifications of potential ONLINE FRAUD (for example if you receive an email that appears to be from First Trust Bank or AIB, which you believe to be bogus).
